The Face Magic Haven has now introduced a new service for all our clients – Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)! We have with us a registered Chinese Medical Practitioner. TCM says processes of the human body are interrelated and constantly interact with the environment. Therefore the theory looks for the signs of disharmony in the external and internal environment of a person in order to understand, treat and prevent illness and disease.

TCM theory is based on a number of philosophical frameworks including the Theroy of Yin-yang, the Five Elemnets, the human body Meridian system, Zang Fu organ theory, and others. Diagnosis and treatment are conducted with reference to these concepts.

During the consultation the Chinese Medical Practitioner will diagnose the client according to 4 main methods: Observation, listening, questioning and feeling of pulse.

The Chinese Medical Practitioner will then combine these methods to advice and suggest to the client different Chinese medical treatments or natural herbal medications.

The important factor of Chinese medication is that it is all natural and the formulas are prescribed according to each individual client’s needs based on the diagnosis.

Acupuncture & Moxibustion

Acupuncture is a medical art based on over five thousand years of clinical experience !!
Acupuncture has been scientifically proven to release pain-reducing endorphins, affect pain perception and mood, as well as eliminate wrinkles and lines. Moreover, it can directly benefit fertility by relieving stress and encouraging proper hormonal balance.

Cupping and Scraping

Cupping refers to an ancient Chinese practice in which a cup is applied to the skin and the pressure in the cup is reduced , so that the skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup.

Today, cupping is mainly recommended for the treatment of pain, gastro-intestinal disorders, lung diseases, and paralysis, though it can be used for other disorders as well.

Ear candling is a clearing therapy and are used very successfully for many problems associated with the ears and the head area. The lymph system and metabolism can be influenced by this intensive, pleasant and completely painless method of treatment.
